Plans & Scope
Built to scope. Priced to publish.
Four standard service tiers and a Custom track for projects that need more. We host and maintain every build for you, with twelve months of managed support, a free handover whenever you want it, and no vendor lock-in.
For state and local government engagements, see our Government & Small-to-Mid-Market track instead. Same engineering, scoped against procurement standards.
We take on a limited number of new builds at a time so every project gets focused attention from the engineer who owns it.
Standard service tiers
We publish prices. Most don't.
Custom-scoped engagements are quoted separately. The packages below are our standard tiers: what most projects actually cost. Year one of managed support is included; year two and beyond, you renew or you take the code with you.
Most agencies in the Valley make you book a call to hear a number. Ours are on this page.

What that monthly number covers.
All of it is bundled into your build for Year 1. With other providers you would buy these separately, and assemble them yourself.

How we compare
What you get with Mosaic Ridge vs. the alternatives.
See what comes with a Mosaic Ridge build versus going it alone on a DIY builder or hiring a typical WordPress freelancer.

| Year 1 total cost (Foothold) | $200–500 | $2,500–5,000+ | $1,800 |

What it costs per day
A working website pays for itself.
If your website brings in two extra customers per month at an average of $200 each, that's $4,800 per year in new revenue. That is more than enough to cover any tier's renewal year.
$3.50
per day Y2+ on Foothold
$5.50
per day Y2+ on Ridgeline
$7.83
per day Y2+ on Storefront
Three years in, compared honestly.
The common alternative is a “$0 down, $175/month” subscription site. Here is where each one leaves you after 36 months.
| Over 36 months | Subscription site | Foothold |
|---|---|---|
| Up front | $0 | $1,800 |
| Monthly | $175/mo for 36 months | $0 for year 1, then $105/mo |
| Three-year total | $6,300 | $4,320 |
| What you own at the end | Nothing | The site, the code, the data |
$1,980 less over three years, and you finish owning the thing you paid for. Stop renewing at any point after year one and the free Handover Package is yours.

Common questions about pricing & scope.
What's included in the Foothold package?
Foothold is $1,800 with 12 months of Care Plan coverage included. You get a custom 5-page Next.js website (no templates), mobile-first design, contact form, Google Business Profile sync, baseline on-page SEO, analytics setup, and one round of design revisions. Care Plan covers hosting, security, framework updates, 1 content update per month, and email support, renewing at $105/month after Year 1.
How long does it take to build a website?
Most Foothold sites are completed within 2–3 weeks. Ridgeline takes 3–4 weeks, Storefront and Summit typically run 4–6 weeks depending on complexity.
Why not use a $500 freelancer or build it myself on Wix?
For some businesses that is genuinely the right call, and we will tell you so. The difference shows up in year two. A template site on a page builder is rented: you keep paying, you cannot take it with you, and it looks like the other sites built from the same template. A $500 one-off usually means no one is watching the site afterwards, so the first framework or security update that breaks something becomes your problem to find and pay for. We build custom-coded sites, host and maintain them, answer within one business day, and hand over the full repository free whenever you want it. You are paying for a site that stays maintained and that you eventually own outright.
Why not just use an AI website builder?
Honestly? For a hobby project, a personal page, or testing whether an idea has customers at all, an AI builder is a reasonable choice and we would not talk you out of it. Two things change once real revenue depends on the site. First, ownership: an AI-generated Wix or Squarespace site still lives on their platform. You are renting it, the monthly fee never ends, and you cannot take it with you if you leave. Our builds are custom-coded and yours: stop renewing whenever you like and the free Handover Package gives you the full repository, a database export, and the project files. Second, liability: accessibility exposure under WCAG, how your forms collect and store customer data, and whether an institutional buyer will accept the site in procurement are your problems, not the builder's. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA, validate every form submission, and put our name on the result. An AI builder generates a page. It does not take responsibility for one.
Why a monthly fee instead of paying once and being done?
Because a website is not a thing you finish, it is a thing you run. Every month the site needs hosting, a valid SSL certificate, security patches, framework and dependency updates, uptime and performance monitoring, and backups. Those are real costs whether or not you think about them. The monthly fee bundles all of it, plus your content updates and direct access to the person who built the site, into one predictable number instead of a pile of separate subscriptions and an hourly rate when something breaks. A quiet month is the fee working, not the fee wasted. And year one is already included in your build price, so you get twelve months to judge it before you decide.
What happens if I want to cancel my care plan?
Your build fee includes 12 months of Care Plan, so there is nothing to cancel in year one. After that the choice is simple. Renew monthly and we keep hosting, maintaining, and updating the site. Or step away entirely: our free Handover Package gives you the full repository with complete history, a database export, the project files, and a deployment guide, so you or your developer can take the site anywhere. There is no exit fee and no lock-in, because a website you cannot leave with is not really yours.
Why is the first year of care included in the build price?
Modern websites need someone watching them every month: security patches, framework updates, performance monitoring. Bundling 12 months of Care into the build means there's no surprise monthly fee at launch, and you get a full year to experience how we look after the site before deciding whether to renew. After Year 1, the Care Plan is your call.
What kind of projects qualify for Custom pricing?
Custom is for projects that go beyond Summit: multi-tenant web applications, complex internal tools, dedicated SLA support, or anything that needs a tailored scope and pricing conversation. If you need a booking platform, member portal, or custom dashboard, that’s Custom territory.
